“Do you believe in the afterlife?”
A young woman dies suddenly and unexpectedly. Her friends plan a cleansing trip to the seaside. All is not what it seems, and the mechanics of death aren’t quite what they should be. Who is Hurtle T., how did Adrianne really die, and why are there ghosts everywhere?

Meet jeering Adrian, absent-minded Romania, foppish Birch, the self-proclaimed Ex-Ghost, and, at the centre of it all, Susanne herself and her tragic decline.

With a fifty-strong cast and birthed from a production process that would make James Cameron weep, Susanne is a delirious feature film about grief.

"I dreamt I heard the owl hooting again...a full-bodied screech of righteousness and assurance."

A short film about isolation and owls. Marie hasn't left her hotel room for a fortnight now. The door is locked and her mysterious acquaintance Ian has not returned since leading her there. Accompanied only by a wooden owl, tins of fish and trapped spiders, she starts to write...

OWL #307 premiered at the first Cambridge Shorts.

"had the best cinematography of all the films [of the bill]" - TCS

The debut release from Cassandra Gramme Pictures.

Violet smiles through her middling comedy gig, mulling over the last dregs of her aspirations and many a bottle of wine. Her friend Io struggles to make sense out of the Oracle of the Skip and her elusive threads of prophecy. In the meantime, petty ambitions run amok in the offices of Butler Dramatics, bedrooms are laden with anxious concern, and romance in back alleys isn't quite what it used to be.

Chicane is a short film: a story in reverse that presents the simplicity and strangeness of people and their lives in the most appropriate way: unexplained.

Lalibela: The Second Jerusalem - Murdo Baker-Mills

This film documents the power, beauty and history of the rock-hewn Lalibela churches, which were built almost 900 years ago, and gives a brief insight into the daily lives of the people who call Lalibela home. It ends by discussing what the future holds for this unique place.
It is an opportunity to hear the voices of those who aren’t normally heard on a topic that is rarely filmed.

It's Halloween. Deep in Albeck University, David and Steven are practising for their magic show. But something is stirring in the night. A spectral countess haunts the abandoned dorm. The undead roam the courtyards. Homicidal porters stalk corridors.

Sometimes our imaginations get the better of us, but sometimes we really do have to face the monsters in the cupboard. Will you survive this 20-minute comedy thriller?
